KPMG is currently seeking a to join our Business Tax Services practice.
Responsibilities
- Support tax transformation projects by mapping current-state processes, identifying pain points, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist in designing future-state tax AI driven experiences, processes, operating models, workflows, and documentation in collaboration with senior team members and technology specialists
- Help integrate finance and tax processes across record-to-report activities, including documenting transaction flows, system touchpoints, and tax reporting requirements
- Support tax workstreams integrations by gathering process and systems information and helping standardize tax operations post-transaction
- Assist with tax controls, risk assessments, Risk Control Matrix (RCMs), control testing, monitoring dashboards, and compliance documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Information Technology General Controls (ITGC), and global governance requirements
- Use AI, data, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/tax systems, and automation tools to support analysis, reconciliations, system testing, documentation, auditor requests, and tax process improvement initiatives
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum one year of recent professional experience, preferably in a role that combines business development, entrepreneurship thinking, process, with technology
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in business or technology
- Proven mentality to take ownership and drive projects forward; experience working with large volumes of data concurrently; preferred knowledge of fundamentals of tax services and applying that knowledge to technology solutions; experience in a client-facing position within a professional services firm preferred
- Experience working with and collaborating with a cross-functional team projects to develop innovative marketing strategies
- Experience in solutioning leveraging AI to drive organizational efficiency, via Agents and other types of AI-driven workflows
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences; possess a strong aptitude for technology and the ability to quickly master new software platforms
