POSITION SUMMARY

KKR is hiring for an enterprise Data Operations group to collect, manage, and harness the power of data across our diverse business activities. The Data Operations Center of Excellence (CoE) is a cross-functional team dedicated to formulating and driving KKR's enterprise data strategy while also providing the operating leverage required to bring these strategies and frameworks to life.

We are hiring an Associate / Senior Analyst within the Data Operations CoE focused on Data & Analytics. This individual will sit at the intersection of business and technology, combining strong data analytics capabilities with a solid understanding of private markets and credit to deliver insights, reporting, and data solutions that support investment and operational decision-making across the firm.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of experience in data analytics or data science. They are comfortable partnering with both business stakeholders and technology teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, data-driven solutions. A genuine interest in private markets, credit, and alternative investments is essential, and experience applying AI and automation to improve workflows is a strong plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Analytics & Insights: Design, build, and maintain analytical models, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support private markets and credit investment teams, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, gathering requirements, defining analytical use cases, and ensuring delivered solutions meet business needs
  • SQL & Data Development: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data across multiple sources and platforms, ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with data engineering, technology, and operations teams to design and implement scalable data pipelines, integrations, and infrastructure that underpin analytics and reporting
  • Private Markets & Credit Support: Develop domain expertise in private markets and credit data, including deal, portfolio, fund, and investor data, and apply that knowledge to improve data coverage, quality, and analytical depth
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline manual workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the efficiency and reliability of data processes across the team
  • AI & Innovation: Explore and apply AI tools, large language models, and emerging technologies to enhance analytical workflows, accelerate reporting, and unlock new capabilities for the business

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL with demonstrated ability to write complex queries, build data models, and work across large-scale datasets
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or equivalent cloud data warehouse) and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Sigma, Tableau)
  • Working knowledge of Python with the ability to read, interpret, and contribute to Python-based data pipelines and analytical scripts
  • Experience partnering with data engineering or technology teams to design, build, and operationalize data solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in business-facing roles, translating stakeholder needs into analytical frameworks, reports, and data products
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in private markets, credit, and alternative investments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter mindset and high attention to detail
  • Strong cultural fit (teamwork, results-oriented, proactive, and high integrity)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct experience in private markets, credit, or alternative investment data and analytics
  • Hands-on experience applying AI, machine learning, or large language models to improve business workflows and data processes
  • Background in financial services, asset management, or fintech
  • Working understanding of dbt (data build tool) for managing data transformations, building modular analytics pipelines, and maintaining well-tested, version-controlled data models
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows

This is the expected annual base salary range for this Boston-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
