Youll work closely with partners across Treasury, Finance, and Risk to improve forecasting, strengthen reporting, and support timely decision-making. As a Treasury Regional Analytics Senior Associate within the The Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Treasury team you will support the broader EU team, who supports the CIBs legal entities within the EU, UK and Latin America region and drives analytic review on actual and projected liquidity and collateral positions at an entity level. You will gain exposure to a broad suite of CIB products and business events. You will also have exposure across the organization and is an excellent opportunity to get a broad view of the CIBs activity internationally. You will work for a team which manages the capital and liquidity resource usage of the CIBs businesses both at firm-wide and legal entity levels, establishes market-based funds transfer pricing policy and develops methodologies and metrics to improve collateral and liquidity risk management capabilities.
Job responsibilities
- Monitor daily, monthly and quarterly liquidity surpluses as measured across regulatory measures such as LCR and NSFR as well as the firms internal stress framework of modelled stress liquidity usage
- Assess key upstream drivers impacting aggregate entity liquidity positions, beyond the daily surplus number.
- Support regional liquidity forecasting, providing insight into expected Investment Bank activities pipeline
- Partner with other regional Treasury team, as well as firmwide, in ensuring convergence
- Works closely with other Treasury units, Finance and Risk organisation sharing trends and business background behind liquidity usage
- Track compositional shifts in the balance sheet and linking this to shifts in liquidity. This can include monitoring for shifts in third party and affiliate-facing Markets balances as well as lending and deposit pipeline events
- Support on-going analytic reviews of business-level attribution of line of business liquidity usage and volatility of usage.
- Provide ongoing support of the production of recurring senior level reviews (such as ALCOs and other weekly senior-level updates) as well as supporting the signoff of monthly actuals
- Provide analytic support for ad-hoc regulator and senior management requests
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Working knowledge of Investment Bank products and balance sheet along with general accounting principles
- Good understanding of capital markets, liquidity risk management and funding concepts
- System fluency in excel as well as ability to leverage Alteryx and tableau tools, knowledge of databricks and SQL
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, investigative problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Focused work ethic, good business sense and demonstrated initiative, strong attention to detail
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication abilities
