You will work with partners across functions to resolve breaks, strengthen controls, and improve processes. This role offers strong learning and growth through daily exposure to trade lifecycle events, projects, and continuous improvement. As a Trade Lifecycle Associate in Market Operations, you will support day-to-day equities settlement and transaction processing to help ensure timely, accurate trade completion. You will manage operational deliverables, partner closely with stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen efficiency and control. You will work Asia Pacific shift hours and help the team meet service and risk standards.
Job responsibilities
Support daily trade lifecycle deliverables, including releasing settlement instructions and progressing trades through core settlement systemsReopen, investigate, and resolve settlement exceptions, including fails and breaks, with timely escalation when neededPerform inventory and position management activities and complete inter-company reconciliations ahead of settlement dateMonitor service quality and ensure tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timelinesFollow documented operating procedures and identify gaps where procedure updates are neededDocument and maintain process materials, including standard operating procedures, and complete periodic reviews and updatesIdentify opportunities for control enhancements and support implementation of agreed improvementsProduce daily and weekly operational statistics and provide clear status updates to stakeholdersParticipate in global and local initiatives, including new business activities, system enhancements, and market rule changesSupport process re-engineering efforts to improve efficiency, transparency, and risk outcomesRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
4 years of experience in banking, financial services, or treasury operations, or a closely related operational roleExperience supporting trade management and settlements, including handling exceptions through to resolutionAbility to execute time-sensitive operational tasks accurately in a high-volume environmentDemonstrated understanding of operational risk, controls, audit readiness, and adherence to policies and regulationsStrong written and spoken English communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholdersStrong organization skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables to deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointFlexibility to work Asia Pacific shift hours, including holidays or extended hours on high-volume days when requiredPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
