Deliver high-quality, scalable test automation and robust manual validation to accelerate release velocity and improve customer outcomes at JPMorganChase.


As an Automation Test Associate within the Testing Team, you will lead manual and automation testing efforts across multiple projects to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery. You will partner with stakeholders and a 510 member team to define test strategy, improve coverage, and standardize best practices. You will drive continuous improvement through metrics, reporting, defect management, and stronger automation frameworks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategize and execute manual and automated testing across projects, including functional, regression, and UAT.
  • Develop and maintain automation suites using Selenium, Java, and Cucumber aligned to TDD/BDD and Shift Left principles.
  • Document UAT scenarios, test cases, and test scripts with clear traceability and outcomes.
  • Validate APIs through automated testing using Postman, SoapUI, or REST API tooling.
  • Publish governance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to provide transparency on quality and delivery.
  • Manage defects end-to-end, partnering with stakeholders to drive timely resolution and efficiency gains.
  • Coach testers through training, standardized approaches, and competency assessments to uplift team capability.


Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Hands-on experience building automation using Selenium, Java, and Cucumber
  • Strong problem-solving, mentoring, and debugging/troubleshooting skills with clear documentation practices
  • Working knowledge of TDD, BDD, and Shift Left testing concepts
  • Bachelors or Graduate Degree and proficiency using MS Office for analysis and presentations


Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Experience leading automation testing initiatives or guiding small QA teams
  • Experience with Postman, SoapUI, or REST API testing for API automation coverage
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, QA methodologies, and structured regression practices
