The TCIO Product Controller (VP) is accountable for end-to-end Product Control coverage for Treasury & Chief Investment Office activities in Brazil,, with full ownership of daily P&L and risk reporting, balance sheet governance, and month-end close deliverables. The role serves as a Finance partner to the Front Office, providing independent challenges, trusted insight on performance drivers, and disciplined control execution across complex operating systems. The VP is expected to lead continuous improvement, including the deployment of automation through Intelligent Solutions and AI-enabled controls to strengthen accuracy, timeliness, and scalability, while maintaining a strong risk and escalation posture. 

Job responsibilities 

  • Daily P&L and risk reporting for Brazil, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and explanations to the Front Office and Market Risk; govern adjustments, identify emerging issues early, and maintain front-to-back control through month-end close 
  • Partner with Front Office and Business Management on new products and business activity, system changes, and ad-hoc requests, ensuring appropriate Finance sign-off, control readiness, and sustainable operating models 
  • Delivering Country and Regional inputs into US and local regulatory reporting, including required breakdowns and variance explanations 
  • Support Liquidity Management to maintain and update policies, including CFP-related governance as applicable, ensuring documentation is current, auditable, and aligned with internal requirements 
  • Coordinate responses to information requests across Finance and risk partners, including Market Risk, Global FTP, Liquidity Risk Oversight, LEC, and Business Management, maintaining strong quality control and on-time delivery 
  • Drive operational excellence through continued improvement, targeting high-friction processes to reduce manual touchpoints and strengthen preventive and detective controls 
  • Partner with Front Office, FTP and LOB Controllers to explain funding outcomes. Ensure robust controls, substantiation, and variance analysis around FTP, escalating breaks or unexplained movements promptly 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or related discipline. 
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience within Product Control, Finance, Middle Office, or Market Risk at a financial institution, with demonstrated progression in ownership and complexity of coverage. 
  • Fluency in English. 
  • Strong Product Control judgment, including the ability to independently assess P&L drivers, challenge Front Office narratives when required, and communicate outcomes credibly to stakeholders 
  • A strong understanding of operating system landscapes and the ability to diagnose breaks across upstream/downstream, alongside a disciplined approach to reconciliation, root cause analysis, and control design 
  • Knowledge of financial products used for cash deployment and interest rate risk management, including reverse repos, deposits with banks, and AFS exposures, and the ability to translate product mechanics into P&L, balance sheet, and risk impacts 
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to argue a case effectively with diverse audiences and to produce concise, executive-ready commentary 
  • Control and process improvement oriented, including proven delivery of simplification and risk reduction outcomes without compromising control standards 
  • Ability to build and sustain effective working relationships, leveraging SMEs across lines of business and control functions to drive resolution and delivery 
  • Manage priorities across concurrent deliverables, projects, and ad-hoc work, anticipating resource constraints; protect control-critical activities and escalate issues, risks, and capacity constraints with clear options and recommended paths forward 

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation solutions within Finance/Product Control environments, including partnering with Technology and control functions to deliver sustainable, well-governed outcomes. 
  • Experience leading or coordinating workstreams, or cross-functional initiatives, with evidence of driving standards, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.
