Description 

As a Senior Associate in the Risk Management & Compliance Chief Data Office, you will partner with global teams to execute data governance activities and support Data Owner organizations. You will help Risk Management & Compliance meet firmwide data management standards and regulatory requirements while delivering value to Risk stakeholders. You will help turn complex data risk topics into clear, easy-to-understand summaries for senior stakeholders by using strong analytical and visualization skills. Youll support strategic initiatives, contribute ideas to improve how we work, and collaborate with partners across teams in a fast-paced environment.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Support stakeholder engagement by coordinating touchpoints, understanding key business and data risk priorities, and helping drive follow-ups and outcomes.
  • Contribute to working groups and forums by gathering inputs, documenting decisions, and translating outcomes into clear action items and deliverables for stakeholders.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and working sessions (agendas, materials, minutes), and track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues across assigned initiatives.
  • Partner with Data Risk Leads, Data Owners, technology, Regional CDO, and control teams to support implementation of data-related initiatives (e.g., Data Governance Lifecycle, Firmwide Data Strategy initiatives), including requirements gathering, coordination, and progress reporting.
  • Help maintain compliance with firmwide data management policies, standards, and regulatory expectations by performing checks, monitoring evidence/status, escalating issues as needed, and supporting continuous improvement of the data governance framework.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • 5+ years of experience in data, risk management, governance, or financial services, with experience operating in data-intensive environments.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders, including partnering effectively across functions and regions.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset with intellectual curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with a range of stakeholders (including senior partners) with appropriate judgment and professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex data/risk topics into clear updates and materials.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and stakeholders concurrently.
  • Working knowledge of banking/financial services, including regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk/control frameworks.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience building and improving analytics and reporting solutions/tools, especially Alteryx and Tableau (or similar tooling).
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
