As a Reference Data Team Lead in the Reference Data team, you will play a critical role in managing instrument reference data operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of critical data used across the firm.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the reference data team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of instrument data
  • Follow the global operating model to effectively support instrument requirements across securities services and markets businesses
  • Analyze data to identify gaps and improve quality across key reference data attributes for multiple asset classes
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for data creation, maintenance, and exception management on core platforms
  • Respond to stakeholder queries and subscriber requests with accuracy and professionalism
  • Ensure robust controls are implemented to minimize risk and maintain data integrity
  • Partner with business and product teams to define requirements and embed strong data quality standards into processes
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of instrument data control frameworks
  • Support change initiatives, product releases, and ongoing transformation projects
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Degree in Finance, Technology, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in financial services operations with exposure to instrument reference data
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments such as fixed income, equity, or derivatives
  • Knowledge of securities operations and data lifecycle processes
  • Experience working with market data providers such as Bloomberg, ICE, Euroclear, or Refinitiv
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience with SQL or data quality tools
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with business and product stakeholders
  • Experience working in a global operating environment with flexibility for EMEA time zone

 

Lead reference data operations, resolve queries, enhance data quality, and drive risk-controlled change across asset classes.
