You are a strategic thinker passionate about strengthening legal entity financial oversight through a robust control environment that supports accurate financials and regulatory reporting. You have found the right team.

As an Associate within the Legal Entity Control team, you will spend each day supporting end-to-end legal entity controllership by partnering across businesses, products, and operational areas that impact legal entity financial results. You will be responsible for liaising with line of business finance teams, Operations, and the Legal Entity Controller community to drive the legal entity agenda, resolve issues, and help ensure strong, well-evidenced controls.

 

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform monthly legal entity accounting and controls, including month-end close, parent/child accounting, equity pick-up, inter-entity break review, and monitoring of unusual general ledger balances.
  • Conduct month-end analytical reviews to confirm completeness and accuracy of legal entity financial statements.
  • Prepare required reporting outputs, including contributions to the Monthly Controllers Book, legal entity and line of business commentary, and regulatory reporting deliverables.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues, and respond to ad hoc queries from stakeholders.
  • Support booking model reviews and monitor ongoing compliance with Legal Entity Control Standards.
  • Execute intercompany activity controls, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Monitor the general ledger, including consolidation and netting activities.
  • Participate in firmwide legal entity reporting projects, including infrastructure enhancements, process improvement, and other controller initiatives as needed.
 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
  • 3+ years finance/accounting related experience
  • Strong accounting and analytical acumen, with ability to understand, produce and explain income statement and balance sheet content and variances
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to prepare executive level presentations
  • Ability to work effectively with others, as well as act as an effective liaison with all business partners within the lines of business or legal entity chains
  • Strong initiative and work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, with an ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • CPA a plus, but not required
