As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.

Job responsibilities

 

  • Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
  • Client and Stakeholder management including client consultations, communication of expected completion dates and ongoing expectation management
  • Contribute to process management and improvement within the team by updating and creating documentation and runbooks  in line with engineering standards
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Proxy issues
  • Collaborate with other IT & business teams to align proxy solutions with organizational goals
  • Contribute to change management process improvement by building standardized change implementation templates
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements. 
  • Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations. 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure disciplines, with 5+ years of applied, hands-on experience.
  • Hands-on experience installing, migrating, and decommissioning Broadcom (Bluecoat) proxy/security devices: ProxySG, Secure Web Gateway (ISG), Symantec Content Analysis Systems (CAS), SSL Visibility appliances, and Symantec Management Center (SMC).
  • Experience with SaaS-based secure gateway vendors such as Zscaler and/or Netskope.
  • Ability to design, build, test, and deploy proxy-based security solutions end-to-end.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network security concepts, including application-layer protocols (HTTP/HTTPS) and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and container-based deployment models.
  • Understanding of version and revision control practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency using SIEM tools for security investigation and troubleshooting.
  • Automation scripting skills for proxy environments, including comfort with shell/Python scripts and Ansible playbooks, plus strong networking fundamentals (topology, VLANs, routing, switching, global/local load balancing, firewalls) and flexibility to work off-hours/weekends in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity. 
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
