As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team , you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.

 

 

Job responsibilities

 

 

Accountable for incident, problem, change management, risk, vendor and client relationship, internal and external communications, service delivery, lifecycle management, and service evolution.

Execute day-to-day duties of the function and define and drive MIS requirements to support and improve the business processes supported.

Act as the primary customer interface for day-to-day issues and queries.

Demonstrate leadership skills and emerging management capability (e.g., Team Leader / SME).

Coach and mentor less experienced team members and support overall team management responsibilities.

Develop organizational functional goals, priorities, and service objectives aligned to the overall GT strategy.

Create original documentation and update existing documentation.

Act independently and leverage critical thinking.

Advocate for the customer base when faced with infrastructure or business-critical issues.

Execute within a customer-centric environment.

Operate flexibly in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-pressure, client-focused, and collaborative environment.

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

 

 

Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience

Expertise in one or more network technologies: Routing & Switching (LAN, WAN, MAN).

Expertise in IP services such as load balancing, Bluecoat proxies, and firewalls.

Expertise in data center technologies (Nexus, ASR, VXLAN, Cisco ACI / SIMPL, Arista Fabric).

Expertise in optical technologies (Ciena).

Experience working in a banking, exchange, or technology environment within a global organization.

Understanding of network infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems.

Ability to use (or learn) scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, etc.

Experience with protocol analyzers (Cpacket, BigSwitch, Wireshark, Riverbed).

Experience with capacity/monitoring management tools (Splunk, SevOne, ThousandEyes).

Communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
