Be at the heart of ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time at the end of their employment. Join our Payroll Operations team in Manila and build specialized expertise in United States wage compliance and final pay validation. You will work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where strong controls and audit-ready practices matter. You will also use automation and analytics tools to streamline reviews, reduce errors, and improve turnaround times. Grow your career at the intersection of payroll operations, compliance, and technology.

Job summary

As a Final Pay Analyst in Global Payroll Operations, you will validate final pay calculations for terminated and off-cycle employees across a complex, multi-state United States payroll environment. You will ensure each final paycheck is accurate across earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and paid time off payouts, and that payments meet state-specific final pay timing and wage requirements. You will investigate exceptions, document outcomes for audit readiness, and partner with Payroll, Human Resources, and Compliance stakeholders to resolve issues. You will use tools such as Alteryx, Pega, and advanced Microsoft Excel to improve accuracy, visibility, and process efficiency. You will help strengthen controls by identifying recurring defects and driving upstream fixes.

Job responsibilities

  • Validate final pay calculations for terminated and off-cycle employees, confirming gross-to-net accuracy across earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and paid time off payouts
  • Review manual and off-cycle final pay transactions to ensure correct processing and timely payment based on the employees work state requirements
  • Apply working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour principles related to final pay, including timing requirements and payout rules that vary by state
  • Investigate discrepancies through root-cause analysis, document findings, and escalate material risks through the appropriate payroll controls and governance channels
  • Perform pre and post payroll validation checks to identify missing elements, configuration issues, and non-compliant outcomes
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready evidence to support internal audits, compliance inquiries, and quality reviews
  • Track and analyze error trends (for example, earnings code setup issues or garnishment configuration defects) and coordinate corrective actions with partner teams
  • Build, enhance, and maintain Alteryx workflows to automate validation checks and exception reporting
  • Support case and workflow management activities in Pega, including timely updates, handoffs, and status tracking
  • Prepare clear reporting on volumes, exceptions, turnaround times, and key compliance metrics for stakeholders
  • Partner with Payroll Operations, Human Resources, and Legal/Compliance teams to resolve final pay issues within required timeframes
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
  • One year of experience in payroll operations, human resources shared services, or a related function involving payroll processing, wage validation, or human resources data review
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn, United States wage and hour fundamentals related to final pay and state-specific requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to perform transaction-level validation and reconcile gross-to-net pay results accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive documented resolution with cross-functional partners
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, conditional logic, and large-dataset analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer (or demonstrated ability to build workflows for data blending, validation rules, and exception flagging)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain compliance findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and documentation standards
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive employee and compensation data
  • Ability to align working hours with United States payroll processing windows as required
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience supporting United States final pay or termination pay processing across multiple states
  • Experience validating off-cycle or termination gross-to-net calculations, including deduction priorities and garnishment considerations
  • Familiarity with high-complexity state final pay requirements (for example, California, New York, Illinois, Washington, and Massachusetts)
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organization with formal payroll controls and documented procedures
  • Experience designing, testing, and deploying payroll validation automation or analytics solutions (including Alteryx)
  • Familiarity with Pega case management or similar workflow tools
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Human Capital Management Payroll, including reporting and payroll run support
  • Additional information
