Location: Plano, TX, United States

Help shape how one of the worlds leading financial institutions plans and manages technology investment. You will join a planning and analysis team that partners across the firm to build a consolidated view of technology expenses and to support budgeting and forecasting. In this role, you will learn how financial reporting and analytics inform leadership decisions, while building strong technical and communication skills. You will work with partners across finance, strategy, portfolio governance, vendor management, real estate, and human resources. As an Analyst in Corporate Finance, you will support the Global Technology planning and analysis teams strategic programs and recurring deliverables. You will assist with analyzing technology expenses, preparing value-added reporting, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities. Working with guidance from senior team members, you will collaborate with planning and analysis partners and expense leads across technology. You will help maintain data integrity and support process improvement efforts that enable timely, accurate reporting. 

Job responsibilities 

  • Support accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for technology expenses
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including forecast updates and budget preparation
  • Collaborate with finance and business management partners across technology to develop insights on run rate, risks, opportunities, and efficiency initiatives
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, analysis, and supporting materials for senior management and other internal stakeholders
  • Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial results and draft clear commentary versus prior forecasts and budgets
  • Contribute to monthly corporate deliverables by coordinating inputs, explanations, and walk-forwards of expense trends and movements
  • Consolidate and review taxonomy reporting and project-level details to ensure consistency across multiple sources
  • Reconcile accounting and financial data to support high-quality reporting and decision-making
  • Enhance controls and support efforts to streamline processes through automation and modeling where appropriate
  • Maintain data integrity through ongoing reviews, checks, and documentation of key assumptions
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support transformation-related workstreams as needed 

     

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience (internship experience in financial planning, reporting, or analytics is beneficial)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with collaboration and file-sharing tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong analytical skills, including comfort gathering, cleaning, and manipulating data sets
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present findings clearly and concisely
  • Sound judgment and ability to work independently on assigned tasks with appropriate guidance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; motivated self-starter mindset
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build effective working relationships across teams 

     

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Prior internship or project experience in corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting
  • Experience preparing materials for senior audiences (for example, leadership updates or business reviews)
  • Exposure to process improvement or automation efforts within finance or analytics workflows
  • Comfort working with large data sets and validating data across multiple sources
  • Interest in technology investment topics and how operating expenses are managed in large organizations
