As a Global Banking Incident Communications Associate in the Global Banking Operational Resiliency and Integration team, you will craft and deliver clear, timely, and accurate communications during technology and operational incidents. You will help us keep stakeholders informed, support client coverage teams with client-ready updates, and assist with responses to inquiries and escalations.

This role operates in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment that demands adaptability, strong problem-solving abilities, and exceptional communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Draft urgent, high-quality incident communications
  • Translate complex technical and operational issues into clear and concise updates 
  • Partner with client-facing teams to prepare client-ready materials and identify actions to help mitigate client impact.
  • Support responses to client inquiries and escalations during incidents
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, service, product and technical teams to ensure all communications are accurate, concise, and easy to understand.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align on messaging strategy, escalation posture, and client response approach.
  • Provide regular updates throughout the incident lifecycle to keep stakeholders informed and aligned
  • Escalate critical issues and risks to management as needed
  • Drive process improvements through templates, playbooks, governance, and tooling enhancements
  • Contribute to additional project priorities as capacity allows

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in financial services, particularly in client service, Global Banking, or Treasury Services. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to rapidly understand complex issues and communicate them clearly and accurately
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong understanding of J.P. Morgans business model and organizational structure. 
  • Familiarity with J.P. Morgans products, with a preference for channel and payment solutions. 
  • Technical aptitude, including familiarity with production environments
  • Familiarity with incident management processes
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrating prioritization and organization in high-pressure situations
