The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Strategic Event Marketing & Sponsorships team provides global event management services for complex employee and client programs requiring end-to-end coordination of internal and external experiences, including sales meetings, leadership conferences, and employee meetings. Event teams are located in major cities across the U.S., the Americas, Asia Pacific, and EMEA.

As an Events Management Associate, you will lead and/or manage CIB event delivery as neededpartnering closely with lines of business and key stakeholders to plan and execute high-visibility senior management and client events. You will oversee supplier sourcing and contracting, logistics, registration operations, attendee communications, reporting, and on-site delivery, while providing day-to-day guidance to meeting managers and planners.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Independently own end-to-end meeting planning activities, including logistics, timelines, and execution support.
  • Proactively produce event materials such as name badges, tent cards, and attendee-facing collateral.
  • Diligently prepare and pack travel/event office supplies and support on-site readiness as needed.
  • Efficiently support venue research and data compilation.
  • Effectively source, coordinate, and support contracting with external vendors from initial outreach through agreement execution.
  • Consistently maintain strong partnerships with internal teams to coordinate event requirements and deliverables.
  • Reliably own day-to-day attendee management by overseeing registration operations, communications, and responding to attendee inquiries.
  • Accurately ensure data quality and integrity within the registration system, including audits, reconciliations, and issue remediation.
  • Regularly develop, review, and update standard website text and attendee-facing content for event sites.
  • Systematically create, update, and maintain process/procedure guides and best practice documentation to improve consistency and operational excellence.
  • Actively contribute to independent and team-based special projects, supporting continuous improvement and operational priorities.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Demonstrate 3+ years meeting planning industry knowledge.
  • Exhibit customer service orientation with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
  • Maintain high organization with strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution skills.
  • Manage time efficiently, multi-task, and handle competing priorities.
  • Apply exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Understand basic virtual and hybrid event formats and coordination needs.
  • Utilize strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Employ advanced Microsoft Word skills, including mail merge documents.
  • Travel to events and serve as on-site planner support, up to 25%40%.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables (preferred).
