As a Vice President within the Currencies & Emerging Markets CE4 Bond Trading team, you will focus on market making in Polish Government bond markets, managing risk across a portfolio of products while delivering best-in-class execution and liquidity to our global institutional client franchise. You will work in close collaboration with EMEA sales, trading, and research teams to generate ideas, support client-driven flow, and contribute to the continued growth of our regional presence. Your role will be central to reinforcing J.P. Morgan's position as a leading market maker in the CE4 region.

Job responsibilities

  • Make markets in Polish Government bonds and related rates products, ensuring competitive pricing and liquidity for our institutional client franchise.
  • Manage and monitor risk across the trading book, maintaining disciplined risk management across varying market conditions.
  • Develop and implement trading strategies that identify and capitalize on market opportunities across Polish and broader CE4 bond markets.
  • Provide market colour, axes, and actionable trading ideas to EMEA and global sales teams and clients.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, research, and other trading desks to support client relationships and grow the overall business.
  • Engage directly with institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, and banks, to deliver execution and risk management solutions.
  • Contribute to the mentoring and development of junior members of the trading desk.
  • Support the desk's obligations in the region, working in coordination with the broader EMEA and global trading teams.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven experience in Government bond trading, with a strong focus on CE4 or broader EMEA markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Polish bond markets, including local market structure, dynamics, and key participants.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and monitor risk across a trading book in fast-paced and competitive market environments.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to assess complex market situations and make sound trading decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive under competitive pressure while maintaining a consistent focus on client needs and franchise obligations.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a global, fast-paced trading team.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven experience trading CE4 or broader EMEA Government bonds at a leading financial institution.
  • Established relationships with institutional investors active in Polish or CE4 bond markets.
  • Experience with related rates and derivative products relevant to the Polish and CE4 markets.
  • Familiarity with local market regulations and obligations in Poland or the broader CE4 region.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
