The Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Strategy team operates as an internal consulting group, tackling high-priority topics on senior managements agenda and offering a unique opportunity to work alongside top performers from leading strategy consulting firms, investment banks and across JPMorgan.

As an Executive Director in the  CIB (Commercial & Investment Bank) Strategy India team, you will have the opportunity to work on key initiatives across the organization. You will lead CIB strategy projects and work closely with senior leaders across the organization. You will also contribute to the growth, development, and visibility of the India Strategy team across the firmwide Strategy organization. You will scope complex problems, drive rigorous analyses, and translate insights into actionable recommendations and execution roadmaps. You will influence senior stakeholders across the organization and build trust-based, advisory relationships. You will also contribute to broader India Strategy team initiatives, including (but not limited to) training and upskilling, advancing the AI agenda, and hiring. 

Job responsibilities:

• Lead high-priority initiatives/projects to address diverse and complex problems across the CIB 
• Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner for CIB senior leaders, collaborating with strategy professionals around the world
• Monitor industry trends, develop insights for learning and disruption opportunities
• Develop and deliver executive-level strategy narratives, analyses, roadmaps & deliverables
• Coordinate significant deliverables, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes
• Guide strategic thinking and problem-solving approaches for project teams; mentor/coach team members and junior managers
• Apply a deep understanding of innovation in financial services and emerging technologies (e.g., AI/LLM, ML, RPA) to reimagine the future of the CIB 
• Help lead and develop junior members of the CIB Strategy team, with a focus on future-proofing skills 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• 10+ years of experience, including experience with a top-tier strategy/management consulting firm, operating at the Associate Partner / Principal / Director-equivalent level, including leading large teams and partnering directly with C-Suite executives 
• Strong relationship and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to work with and influence a diverse set of senior executive stakeholders
• Executive presence and experience creating and delivering executive narratives and presentations
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration, and working with diverse, global teams
• Familiarity with finance concepts, operating models, and a passion for staying current with industry trends
• Ability to organize and prioritize critical issues and information to facilitate efficient decision-making; provide oversight and guidance to high-priority projects
• Excellent technical and business presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Proven expertise in leading complex, strategic projects; strong facilitation, process, and influencing skills, and an entrepreneurial / ownership mindset
• MBA/Post Graduate degree with financial services domain expertise

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Experience in Commercial and Investment bank strategy at a large financial institution
• Experience applying both AI and data analysis to solve business problems in a fast-paced environment
