Location: LONDON, United Kingdom

As a Business Resiliency Manager, you will lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of International Consumer Bankings business resiliency and operational resilience capability in London. You will drive preparedness to ensure important business services can withstand and recover from disruptive events within defined impact tolerances. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across the business and firmwide resiliency functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of business resiliency and operational resilience capabilities for ICB, aligned to firmwide frameworks, UK regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
  • Own and enhance the operating framework for resilience, including business continuity planning, scenario testing, exercising, and continuous improvement for important business services.
  • Drive risk and impact assessments for end-to-end services and processes, including identification of key vulnerabilities, dependencies (technology, operations, third parties), and remediation actions.
  • Support the identification and governance of important business services, including mapping, impact tolerance setting, and oversight of scenario testing and results.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for senior business leaders and key control partners (e.g., technology, operations, risk/compliance), providing expert guidance on resiliency matters and facilitating effective decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level reporting on resiliency risks, control effectiveness, test outcomes, and remediation progress; escalate material issues and track closure.
  • Champion a culture of resiliency across ICB through awareness, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead incident response preparedness and execution for disruptive events impacting ICB services, including coordination of lessons learned/root cause analysis, corrective actions, and (where applicable) incident communications and regulatory reporting.
  • Manage and support regulatory engagements, audits, and internal governance routines related to business resiliency and operational resilience.
  • Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Significant experience in business resiliency, operational resilience, risk management, or business continuity within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute resiliency initiatives across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including influencing senior leaders and partnering effectively across technology/operations/control functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate risk assessments into pragmatic, measurable resilience outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively during incidents and time-sensitive regulatory deliverables.
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory engagements.
  • Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of recognized resilience/BCM frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301) and UK operational resilience practices (service mapping, impact tolerances, scenario testing).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) or similar.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
