Full Job Description

Location: Jersey City, NJ, United States

In this role, you will partner closely with global stakeholdersincluding Middle Office teams, Client Service Managers, product partners, and regional processing teams to support day-to-day operational execution. You will monitor and analyze service performance, identify trends and root causes, and drive continuous improvements in service delivery between JPMorgan Chase and its clients by leveraging enterprise systems and digital tools. You will coordinate across local and global operational teams to ensure timely escalation, effective issue management, and efficient resolution.

As an Asset Analyst within the Announcement Capture Team in WHEM Operations, you will be responsible for processing high-risk, complex voluntary corporate action events. Your primary focus will be to manage the capture and validation of corporate action information across key milestones through event completion. Given the teams support of multiple internal lines of business serving large institutional clients, the role is critical to interpreting market nuances and proactively managing the risks associated with market announcements throughout the full event lifecycle.

Our mission is to deliver a world-class service experience at every client touchpoint and achieve industry-leading quality through consistently measurable and proven service performance.

Job responsibilities

  • Review incoming corporate action events from multiple sources (e.g., SWIFT messages, agent emails, offer documents) and create and maintain corporate actions, including mergers, repurchase offers, exchange offers, and optional dividends.
  • Execute routine and non-routine corporate action announcement processes with moderate to advanced complexity, applying intermediate to advanced subject matter expertise.
  • Diagnose operational issues and provide technical or process resolutions within defined guidelines and limited autonomy.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for subscribers via Operations, Middle Office, and Client Service teams, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Perform End-of-Day (EOD) control checks to confirm all work is completed accurately and risks are identified, escalated, and managed appropriately.
  • Publish daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to key stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and performance against targets.
  • Recommend and support process improvements to reduce manual touchpoints and increase efficiency through standardization and automation opportunities.
  • Maintain flexibility to work extended hours and rotating shifts as required to meet business demands and client expectations, consistently performing under pressure.
  •

    Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Work closely with business partners and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Remain flexible and deliver against tight deadlines by organizing, prioritizing, and managing workload effectively.
  • Operate effectively in large-scale, high-volume environments and support multi-stream programs with competing deliverables.
  • Apply strategic thinking while maintaining a strong focus on practical execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes, take initiative, drive change, and enhance controls.
  • Navigate a changing business landscape by adapting quickly, maintaining operational resilience, and supporting continuous improvement.
  •

    Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Hold a relevant degree; alternatively, present a proven track record of performance that meets role requirements.
  • Bring prior experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably across Custody Asset Servicing and Fund Services, Markets or Prime Brokerage, and/or Securities Lending.
  • Demonstrate experience with Asset Servicing operating systems and platforms (e.g., IMActions, TCS BANCS); third-party vendor management experience is an advantage.
  • Communicate with strong oral, written, and presentation skills, clearly and consistently delivering strategic messages and linking them to team priorities, individual goals, and accomplishments.
  • Maintain extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Apply a solid understanding of DTC and SWIFT message types, specifically the message formats used in Asset Servicing workflows.
