As a Research Analyst Intern in the Markets Equity Research team, you will support industry and company-specific analysis, build financial models, and contribute to written research reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry analysis and provide company-specific coverage for the sector team.

  • Perform core research on the industry and its companies.

  • Model financials and forecasts.

About you

Research is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates who are eager to learn, inquisitive, and curious and possess strong critical thinking, quantitative, and communication skills. A well-rounded academic background is important in your undergraduate studies. You certainly dont need a degree in Economics or Finance, but interest in markets and comfort with numbers and financial statements is required. Beyond that, what were most interested in are the things that make you, you: the personal qualities, outside interests and achievements beyond academia that demonstrate the kind of person you are and the perspective you could bring to the team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Proven analytical skills, experience with quantitative and data analysis

  • Exceptional writing skills

  • Genuine interest in financial markets and economic data and trends

  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program from a local (New York City area) college/university

  • Expected graduation date of May 2027 or later, but no later than May 2029

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
    • To be eligible in this program, you must be enrolled in a degree conferring program at a U.S. university. JPMorgan Chase will provide assistance with F-1 STEM optional practical training (OPT) and curricular practical training (CPT).
