The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fun and growing business within Javelins Accounting team reporting into the Head of Accounting.  This is a team of twelve employees who form part of the wider Finance department that includes Tax, Risk and Trade Finance, all reporting into the CRO and CFO.  The Systems Accountant is responsible for maintaining and improving the accounting and financial systems of the organization. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data, optimizing systems for reporting and analysis, and providing Workday support for the business.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage, support and enhance the Workday Financials environment the organisation's financial systems ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to monitor and evaluate system performance, compliance with policies and procedures and recommending upgrades and improvements as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the business and other Workday SMEs to drive process improvements, optimisation and transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Workday Financials and provide training and support to the business.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to financial systems.
  • Configure, test, validate and implement workday business process changes.
  • Design maintain and optimise system configurations.
  • Support workday releases.
