About the Position

We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Workplace Services and Experience APAC Lead to head our workplace services (WS) functions across Hong Kong and Singapore. This is a senior leadership role focused less on deep technical subject-matter expertisewe already have strong expertise on the groundand more on providing the vision, people leadership and connective tissue that lets our APAC teams thrive.

You'll set the strategic direction for WS across the region, mentor and develop a growing multi-office team, and act as the primary conduit between APAC and our colleagues in London and New York. You'll bring a calm, collaborative leadership style, set a high bar for service, and help our APAC offices feel like a coherent part of the global Jane Street experience while still reflecting their local context.

Your areas of focus will include:

  • Setting the strategic direction for our Workplace Services and Experience team across Hong Kong, Singapore and our growing footprint in the region, in close partnership with global WS leadership
  • Building, mentoring and motivating a multi-office team spanning our Operations, Food and Front of House teams
  • Acting as the primary conduit between our APAC WS teams and our London and New York counterparts, ensuring alignment, knowledge-sharing and consistent global standards
  • Leading vendor strategy across the region: sourcing, selecting, partnering with and managing third-party providers (catering, cleaning and others) to deliver excellent service and value
  • Supporting the build-out and opening of new APAC spaces as our footprint grows, partnering with our Engineering, IT and other internal teams
  • Owning regional WS budgets and using financial data to make sound operational decisions
  • Championing Jane Street's culture across the region, making sure visitors feel welcome and Streeters feel happy, engaged and well supported
  • Anticipating and resolving workplace issues proactively, and shaping how WS evolves as our APAC operation grows

This role involves regular travel between our APAC offices. Ideally, youll also be willing to spend extended periods embedded in our New York and London offices in your first year to build relationships with global counterparts and ground yourself in how the team operates across the firm.

About You

  • Significantly experienced leading workplace services, hospitality, office management or a closely related function (ideally across multiple sites and/or markets)
  • A strong people manager first and foremost: someone who has built, developed and motivated teams, is comfortable leading through other managers, and can bring out the best in people across different cultural contexts; You set clear expectations, give and invite direct feedback
  • A strategic thinker with vision: you are able to set direction, prioritise across competing demands and turn ideas into operational reality
  • Have a track record of building strategic vendor partnerships, underpinned by strong financial acumen: you are skilled at selecting the right partners, cultivating long-term relationships and bringing out the best in suppliers to deliver excellent service across the region
  • A natural conduit, collaborator, and strong communicator: you are skilled at building trust across regions and functions, and at translating between local context and global priorities, with excellent people skills and a genuine hospitality mindset.
  • Comfortable in a flat, fast-moving environment with little hierarchy; you thrive on ambiguity and change
  • Having familiarity with the APAC market and an existing personal network of hospitality/workplace services professionals across the region is a plus
  • Fluent in English; fluency in additional regional languages (Cantonese, Mandarin) is a plus
