At ING we are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Oracle Database Administrator to join our Platform Automation area within Cloud and Tech Foundations Tribe to provide the organization with an automated foundational layer for present and future Tech Platform

Your key responsibilities:

What you'll be doing as an Oracle Database Administrator:

• Ensure automation/removal of manual intervention in all processes related to the IT Assets.

• Secure the operational performance of the IT Assets which are delivered and maintained.

• Ensure monitoring of infrastructure and development of predictive alert systems to prevent incidents.

• Continuously take the initiative to improve the way of work and the collaboration on the squad.

• Responsibility for developing, managing, harmonising and phasing out Oracle products and services.

• Accountable for maximizing the product's value resulting from squad's work; you support and develop your colleagues through effective knowledge sharing and resource usage and promote the one agile way of working (OAWoW) culture.

• Communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience. 

What are we looking for?

We work in an Agile & DevOps environment, where Scrum & Kanban are part of our One Agile Way of Working. You would be part of a Scrum Team, working on two-weeks sprints and using Azure as a key-tool for our Software Development Life Cycle and keeping our IT Risk under control.

Were currently looking for someone who:

• Good understanding of the Oracle/SQLServer database, related utilities and tools

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of database software and related products.

• Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies (RMAN-Datapump)

• Perform database tuning and performance.

• Maintenance and optimization of databases and queries.

• Incident resolution and system operation.

• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)

• Patch Management (applying patchset and PSU)

• Storage knowledge (ASM infrastructure griddisk - diskgroup)

• Replication process

  • Goldengate

  • Data Guard (Active) switchover and failover process.

  • Always On switchover and failover process.

• Ability to perform both database and operating system (Linux/Windows) performance tuning.

• Monitoring (Prometheus-Grafana)

• Exadata knowledge

• Has experience in backlog management.

• Has experience in planning and managing the Life Cycle of applications in production.

• Has knowledge of software development lifecycle tools such as Azure DevOps and Ansible.

• Can collaborate with SREs to identify root-cause and remediate any issues in production.

• Can work in an autonomous way and take initiative.

• Makes things happen thanks to his/her can do attitude.

• Is a team player.

• Takes the initiative for improving processes, ensuring creative ideas are implemented.

• Is a leader of our Orange Code culture, displaying a positive attitude, commitment towards our goals, accountability, eagerness to learn and not afraid of change.

Buscamos un/a Oracle Database Administrator con talento y entusiasmo para unirse al rea de Platform Automation dentro del Cloud and Tech Foundations Tribe, con el objetivo de proporcionar a la organizacin una capa fundamental automatizada para las plataformas tecnolgicas actuales y futuras.

Tus principales responsabilidades:

Como Oracle Database Administrator, estars a cargo de:

• Asegurar la automatizacin/eliminacin de la intervencin manual en todos los procesos relacionados con los activos de TI.

• Garantizar el rendimiento operativo de los activos de TI entregados y mantenidos.

• Supervisar la infraestructura y desarrollar sistemas de alerta predictiva para prevenir incidentes.

• Tomar la iniciativa de forma continua para mejorar la forma de trabajo y la colaboracin dentro del squad.

• Desarrollar, gestionar, armonizar y retirar productos y servicios Oracle.

• Maximizar el valor del producto resultante del trabajo del squad; apoyar y desarrollar a tus compaeros/as mediante el intercambio efectivo de conocimientos y el uso eficiente de recursos, promoviendo la cultura de One Agile Way of Working (OAWoW).

• Comunicar problemas tcnicos a una audiencia no tcnica.

Qu estamos buscando?

Trabajamos en un entorno Agile & DevOps, donde Scrum y Kanban forman parte de nuestro enfoque OAWoW. Formars parte de un Scrum Team, trabajando en sprints de dos semanas y utilizando Azure como herramienta clave en nuestro ciclo de desarrollo de software, manteniendo bajo control el riesgo de TI.

Actualmente buscamos a alguien que:

• Tenga buen conocimiento de bases de datos Oracle/SQLServer, utilidades y herramientas relacionadas.

• Sepa instalar, configurar y actualizar software de bases de datos y productos relacionados.

• Establezca y mantenga polticas de respaldo y recuperacin (RMAN-Datapump).

• Realice ajustes de rendimiento de bases de datos.

• Mantenga y optimice bases de datos y consultas.

• Resuelva incidentes y opere sistemas.

• Planifique el crecimiento y los cambios (capacity planning).

• Gestione parches (aplicacin de patchset y PSU).

• Tenga conocimientos de almacenamiento (infraestructura ASM griddisk diskgroup).

• Conozca procesos de replicacin.

• Maneje Goldengate.

• Maneje Data Guard (Active)  procesos de switchover y failover.

• Maneje Always On  procesos de switchover y failover.

• Sea capaz de realizar ajustes de rendimiento tanto en bases de datos como en sistemas operativos (Linux/Windows).

• Conozca herramientas de monitoreo (Prometheus-Grafana).

• Tenga conocimientos de Exadata.

• Tenga experiencia en gestin de backlog.

• Tenga experiencia en planificacin y gestin del ciclo de vida de aplicaciones en produccin.

• Conozca herramientas del ciclo de vida de desarrollo de software como Azure DevOps y Ansible.

• Colabore con SREs para identificar causas raz y resolver problemas en produccin.

• Trabaje de forma autnoma y tome la iniciativa.

• Haga que las cosas sucedan gracias a su actitud proactiva.

• Sea un/a buen/a compaero/a de equipo.

• Tome la iniciativa para mejorar procesos, asegurando la implementacin de ideas creativas.

• Sea un/a lder de nuestra cultura Orange Code, mostrando actitud positiva, compromiso con los objetivos, responsabilidad, ganas de aprender y apertura al cambio.

Valoramos adicionalmente:

• Conocimientos en SQLServer.
