Building compliant outsourcing and resilient services together
The world around us is changing fast: geopolitical uncertainty, rapid digitalisation, more complex supply chains, and rising supervisory expectations mean organisations must stay firmly in control of their thirdparty ecosystem and be able to continue delivering critical services when disruption hits.
At ING Netherlands, those two worlds meet every day. Outsourcing is a key pillar of INGs strategy, enabling scale, expertise and efficiency across the bank. At the same time, the increasing reliance on third parties requires strong governance and control. Outsourcing and thirdparty arrangements are therefore essential to how we operate and must be managed in line with regulatory expectations such as the EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing and DORA.
In parallel, we need to ensure our Critical Business Services (CBS) can remain available, recover quickly and keep customer impact within agreed tolerances in other words: operationally resilient by design.
Thats why the ING HUBs Bratislava is looking for candidate, that will join the Centre of Expertise Sourcing & Resilience and Shared Operations ING Netherlands to work handinhand with three enthusiastic Dutch musketeers in ING Netherlands to help build a portfolio that is compliant, controlled, and resilient without creating unnecessary administrative burden for the business. You are fully part of the team from the CoEs and Shared Operations, responsible for the co-thinking and co-designing of the solution and translating them into operational steering for monitoring and reporting.
Your mission
You will help ING Netherlands stay in control of thirdparty and intragroup risk (TIPM) and strengthen operational resilience and business continuity for critical services. Practically, that means you will:
Outsourcing / ThirdParty Risk
- Own and improve data quality for systems and registers used to manage outsourcing, thirdparty arrangements and evidence, ensuring information stays accurate, complete and up to date.
- Map and connect relationships across contracts, services, parties and obligations and spot gaps, inconsistencies and patterns early (before they become audit findings).
- Help business/contract owners navigate Outsourcing and requirements in a practical way (think: make it doable, not make it bigger).
- Codevelop guidance and smart products (templates, dashboards, practical instructions) that help owners comply without duplicating work.
Operational Resilience / Business Continuity
- Support the endtoend understanding of how Critical Business Services are delivered, and what could disrupt them (dependencies, third parties, single points of failure).
- Strengthen the link between thirdparty arrangements and resilience/continuity expectations (e.g., continuity planning expectations for sourced services).
- Help make resilience measurable and actionable: What would fail first?, How fast do we need to recover?, Where do we need better evidence?
- Support a structured, consistent approach that keeps ING compliant and resilient and keeps customer impact central.
Who you are
Youre the kind of person who enjoys complexity as long as it leads to clarity.
You bring:
- Strong chain thinking: you naturally look endtoend, across stakeholders, systems and dependencies.
- A solid sense of risk and compliance (and the judgement to keep it practical).
- A genuine Sherlock Holmes mentality for data: you love mapping, connecting dots, validating relationships and spotting what doesnt add up.
- A careful, structured approach to documentation and recordkeeping, without becoming bureaucratic.
- A sharp eye for deviations, patterns and anomalies (and the confidence to raise them constructively).
- A proactive, positivecritical, analytical mindset.
- The ability to step into the shoes of a contract owner and translate frameworks and processes into workable actions.
- Curiosity for the wonderful world of thirdparty risk, operational resilience and business continuity.
Why this role is fun (and impactfull)
You wont just monitor compliance. You will help build something that actually works for the business: a sourcing portfolio that is transparent and controllable, and critical services that can withstand disruption.
And youll do it in a team that likes to keep things professional but not painfully serious. (We do resilience. We dont do drama.)
