Position:                     Junior Product Controller

Reporting to:             CFO Korea

Entity:                         ING Bank N.V., Seoul Branch

Overview

The Product Control department operates within the Finance function and is responsible for the daily measurement, control and assessment of INGs balance sheet and profit and loss statements ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

Junior product controller is responsible for preparing daily P&L ,  reconciliation, regular reporting submitted to various stakeholders  and assisting in project led by Senior product controller .

Responsibilities

As a junior product controller, your tasks and responsibilities will principally be:

  • Prepare daily P&L reports, including attribution and reconciliation.
  • Investigate trade bookings to ensure accuracy in valuation and cash reporting, and monitor any unusual activities or entries.
  • Support system implementations and desk-level projects, with a focus on improving efficiency, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Finance, Front Office, Market Risk, Operations, and IT to ensure data integrity and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, the applicant should ideally possess the following pre-requisites:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Financial Mathematics or a related quantitative/finance field.
  • Internship experience and/or 13 years of experience in the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet controls, valuation methodologies, and financial market products.
  • Strong sense of ownership, with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
