The team

Within ING Wholesale Banking, the Capital & Models team plays a central role in balance sheet management and capital planning. The underlying Capital Reporting & Analytics team translates complex data into insights that enable informed, strategic decision-making.

In our team, you will be guided and supported by experienced senior colleagues. We foster an open and collaborative culture that encourages learning, curiosity, and continuous development. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and grow through feedback, mentorship, and hands-on experience. Roles and responsibilities

This role challenges you to combine curiosity, analytical thinking, and technical skills to transform real-world data into insights that contribute to ING Wholesale Bankings long-term ambitions.

During your internship, you will work on 23 projects across different teams and topics, allowing you to make a tangible impact on key priorities while building a broad perspective on balance sheet management and capital planning.

To take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, youll need: 

  • Strong communicator who can clearly translate insights to different audiences
  • High energy and ambition, with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset
  • Analytical and structured thinker, comfortable working with complex data
  • Hands-on with data, from exploration to insight generation
  • Skilled in Python and/or R
  • Fluent in English (business level)

Preferred 32-36 hours a week, but some flexibility is possible.
