The Team

Asset Securitisation (ASec) is looking for someone to join the team as an intern for a period of up to 6 months. ASec is part of Global Capital Markets within the ING Wholesale Banking division and its primary focus is providing securitised funding solutions, also known as Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), to corporate and financial clients of the ING. The team is primarily responsible for the origination and structuring of public and private ABS transactions. The experience gained during this internship will be relevant for many aspects of your educational and professional development. Role and responsibilities
Main roles and responsibilities will consist of assisting deal teams with preparing pitching materials, provide support with ongoing deals in execution and help with ad-hoc requests to support a various members of the team across Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Dublin locations. Some examples may include:

  • Assist with the preparation of client pitches and other external/internal slide materials.

  • Analyse portfolio data and put them into context with other transactions.

  • Get familiar with various rating agencies (Fitch, Moodys, S&P, DBRS and others) criteria and apply them in your daily work activities.

  • You will be following the European capital markets and will be assisting with preparing market updates for external and internal marketing purposes.

  • You will gain exposure to a broad type of client types (such as well-known auto Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), large institutional banks, credit providers or leasing companies) across different countries in Europe.

How to succeed
To take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, youll need:

  • Master or Bachelor (third-year bachelor) student (Dutch or EU-university for EU-passport holders)

  • Highly motivated to learn and develop

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organisational and project management skills

  • Interest in international capital and financial markets

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft suite (PowerPoint & Excel)

  • Fluency in business English and another European language skill will be welcomed

  • Previous work experience in Corporate Banking will be welcomed.
