Full Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated, team player, and detail-oriented individual to join our Issuer Services team. You will be responsible in handling various issuer-related tasks and ensuring smooth communication among stakeholders. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the Operations team based in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and organizational skills, a solid grasp of financial markets and services, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Issuer Services:
The focus of the role is to support in the issuance of bonds by ING Bank (including securities under the Global Issuance Program, Debt Issuance Program, Covered Bonds, and other ING entities such as Belgium, DIBA, Groep, etc.) as well as Certificate of Deposits and Commercial Papers. Additionally, the position involves monitoring and processing associated corporate action events, while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely settlement.
The task also includes handling and payment of interest, redemptions, dividends and other distributions of securities and tax reclaim services of third-party issuers
In general, the team is responsible for ensuring the quality of transaction processing and delivery before the currency cut-off. The team is expected to work closely with Amsterdam counterpart, Sales, Treasury, Front Office Support, various counterparties, custodians, Paying and Issuing agents, and internal teams such as Settlements, Data Management, Liquidity Management, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate in the primary issuance of ING-issued bonds and certificates of deposits/commercial papers into the market. This includes coordinating with Legal, Front Office, and issuing agent on the creation of market instructions and integrating the newly issued security for monitoring various corporate action events in the life cycle of the trade, from coupon and buyback/early termination to redemption
Ensuring accurate computation and processing of rate fixings as calculation and paying agents
Monitoring of corporate action events of ING-issued securities
Handling payments associated with corporate action events (such as coupon payments, redemptions, buy-back) for ING-issued securities, while ensuring settlement occur in a timely manner
Arranges settlement of any purchase and sales and deliveries in/out of securities (Partial redemption, final maturity, dividends, interest payments, interest claims) issued by third party
Facilitates ADR (American Depositary Receipts) conversion by acting as local custodian for the ordinary shares
Support various processes of Paying Agency Services for third-party issuers which include preparing and processing of coupon, redemption and early redemption notices
Investigating and promptly resolving complex financial and positional discrepancies related to ING and client issuance programs across different custodian accounts
Preparing of fee-related reports and invoices on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Executes payment and receipt requests for underwriting and syndicated Debt Capital Market fees
Address client inquiries and exceptional cases promptly and efficiently. This includes acknowledging and understanding the clients query/case, providing clear and accurate information, and offering solutions or assistance as needed. This may entail coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues effectively.
Set-up and/or update data such as cash SSIs as received from front offices or counterparties through a workflow linked to the Data Management team.
Must be knowledgeable on the flow, processing and formats of SWIFT messages like MT566, MT564, MT565, MT599, MT535, MT950, MT202, as it is essential to exception management
Maintain day-to-day relationships with wide range of custodians, paying and issuing agents, and clients
Must be able to evaluate and escalate risk items to protect the bank and its clients from market penalties or risks like bond claims, penalty fees, overdraft charges and so on
Management of exceptional cases and large daily volumes
Participate in technology development initiatives as required. Enhance service offerings through continuous innovation and a forward-looking approach to automation
Qualifications:
Has good communication skills fluent in English, both written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Able to adapt in a fast-paced working environment
Willing to work in mid-shift schedule and on public holidays
