Full Job Description

Join The Conduct, Compliance & Ethics team as part of the broader Line 2 Compliance team responsible for managing risks arising from Customer conduct and treatment, Conflicts of interest, Market conduct, Anti-competitive conduct and Organisational conduct and culture.
In this highly visible role, you will help strengthen ING's compliance framework, lead complex investigations and assessments, and provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders across the business.
The team works closely with business leaders to ensure compliance obligations are understood, managed, and embedded across ING.
What you'll do
Investigate into potential compliance breaches and significant customer complaints.
Conduct detailed assessments of regulatory obligations and compliance risks.
Prepare written assessments and recommendations to senior stakeholders regarding potential breaches, control gaps, and remediation actions.
Identify root causes, control weaknesses, and remediation opportunities.
Support and continuously improve the compliance framework, policies, procedures and processes.
Deliver compliance guidance, challenge, and subject matter expertise to stakeholders across the business.
Support regulatory change initiatives, projects, and new product reviews.
What we're looking for
5+ years of relevant experience in compliance or legal roles in the financial services industry
Ability to lead investigations and provide a high standard of written / verbal communication to senior leadership
Experience in investigations into non-compliance with financial sector legislation
Previous experience working for either ASIC or APRA would be highly desirable, a trained Lawyer is advantageous
Ability to communicate with business stakeholders and influence when needed in a professional manner
Broad retail and wholesale banking product knowledge (preferable).
Excellent understanding of operational risks and control frameworks in retail Banking
