The mission

As an Architecture Practices Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the architecture practice within the organization.

This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication abilities to ensure alignment between goals and technology solutions. The primary focus will be on establishing and optimizing architecture practices, fostering communication channels, and driving the adoption of architectural best practices across the enterprise.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Establish and enhance architecture practices, methodologies, and frameworks.

  • Define and communicate the architectural vision, principles, and guidelines.

  • Lead the development of standards, guidelines, and best practices for solution architecture.

  • Advocate of a community of 300+ architects and thousands of engineers.

  • Design repository of architectural patterns, templates, and reference architecture for reuse across organization.

  • Provide guidance on the adoption and implementation of architecture practices across projects and teams.

  • Collaborate with architecture community and engineering teams to ensure architecture practice alignment.

  • Conduct regular communication forums and workshops to share architecture practice direction and gather feedback.

  • Identify skill gaps within the architecture team and work towards skill development programs.

  • Provide training sessions and mentorship to architects and other relevant teams.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance architectural knowledge.

  • Conduct regular reviews to assess adherence to architectural principles and guidelines.

  • Enforce architectural governance to ensure compliance with established standards.

  • Mitigate risks related to architectural decisions and ensure solutions align with security, reliability, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain the organization's architectural strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Monitor and analyse the performance of implemented practices.

  • Identify areas for improvement and optimization, working collaboratively with relevant teams.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance architecture practice effectiveness.


What youll bring to the team

  • Passion and natural inclination towards understanding systems in their entirety and devising strategies to improve them.

  • Engineering skills, thorough knowledge of content and architecture of multiple domains and/or platforms (technologies, applications, infrastructure, business processes).

  • Experience with CI/CD, pipelines, and architecture as code.

  • Successful implementation of backstage.io or similar tools is a plus.

  • Ability to quickly identify, install and tinker with various tools that serve the architects and engineers needs.

  • Prepare proof of concepts and integrate new tools in the ecosystem with the help of your scripting and coding skills.

  • Experience with tools like Archimate, Plantuml, and Structurizer.

  • Proven experience as an Architect with a focus on architecture practices and communication.

  • Strong knowledge of architecture methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with industry standards, architecture patterns and emerging technologies.

  • Previous experience with Enterprise Architecture Management tools is a plus.

  • Certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
