We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Financial Accounting Tribe and help drive complex change initiatives across Retail Banking products. Role Summary

As a Business Analyst within the Financial Accounting Tribe, you will work at the intersection of finance, banking operations, business processes, and technology. You will help ensure that new business initiatives, regulatory requirements, and process improvements are successfully translated into accounting and reporting solutions.

You will act as a key Finance representative in cross-functional initiatives, partnering with business, technology, and finance teams to analyze impacts, define requirements, coordinate delivery activities, and support implementation across the end-to-end processing chain.

About the Team

The Financial Accounting Tribe plays a critical role in translating ING's diverse Retail and Wholesale Banking activities into accurate financial records that meet regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements. The team combines expertise in banking products, accounting, data, and technology to design and implement solutions that support ING's global operations.

You will join a multidisciplinary squad where collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation are part of everyday work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Translate business requirements into finance and user requirements.
  • Act as a key Finance contact for large-scale change initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities across squads, tribes, and programs.
  • Support backlog management by translating epics into features and user stories.
  • Perform impact assessments, process analysis, and data analysis.
  • Evaluate data quality and recommend improvements.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting controls and standards.
  • Execute and support functional, acceptance, and migration testing activities.
  • Collaborate closely with technology teams to deliver business solutions.
  • Provide functional support and help ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial processing and reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail banking products and related banking processes.
  • Knowledge of how retail banking products interact with functions such as Treasury and Transaction Services.
  • Experience performing impact assessments and creating functional designs.
  • Experience with testing activities, including functional, acceptance, and migration testing.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Affinity for technology, innovation, and process improvement.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
