Job Profile Summary

Based in Singapore, the role will focus on Corporate Finance advisory services (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic advisory) and related activities and will be involved in the support of origination and execution of Corporate Finance transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide support for origination efforts primarily across energy and infrastructure sectors across APAC:

  • Assist in originating and marketing corporate finance mandates
  • Assist in the development and drafting of pitch books
  • Supervise and guide junior colleagues in origination efforts
  • Work together with other ING teams and departments to optimally service clients and source opportunities

Provide support on all aspects of transaction execution:

  • Day-to-day project management and process control
  • Support in drafting of required documents such as bid letters, information memorandum, among other transaction documents, where applicable
  • Support in preparing documentation including marketing materials, such as teasers and information memorandums, where applicable
  • Perform valuation analysis using but not limited to trading comparables, transaction comparables and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Run complex financial models, and perform consolidation and merger analysis as required
  • Coordination of data room processes, administer Q&A logistics and follow up
  • Liaise with client representatives to gather and organize information used in the execution of transactions; assist with managing client relationships and liaise with other professionals
  • Quality control. Review all work performed by junior colleagues
  • Coordinate with more senior members of the deal execution team and obtain requisite internal sign-offs

Adhere to relevant ING policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements for Corporate Finance, including timely and satisfactory completion of required regulatory, licensing and Compliance training modules.

Special Duties:

  • Assist in the cross-sell and promote other products / services of the bank, as appropriate, to customers
  • Collaborate with other ING departments and country teams on joint marketing initiatives with customers

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree holder, ideally in Business, Economics, Finance, or related discipline. CFA qualification and/or MBA is an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate finance or related financial services
  • Possess strong financial skills, analytical skills, methodical and meticulous with competencies to perform financial modeling and financial analysis
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and word processing applications
  • Self-motivated and confident with a high degree of initiative
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
