Full Job Description

Our internship programme in Amsterdam is your chance to experience life as an engineer at IMC. As a Hardware Engineer Intern, its about much more than just writing code: youll gain insight into IMCs field-programmable gate array (FPGA) development process, get to know IMCs unique business model and build valuable connections with our trading and technology teams. Throughout the internship, you will receive comprehensive support from dedicated internship trainers, and a one-on-one mentor to guide you in your work and professional development. You will benefit from a highly competitive compensation package, fully-furnished corporate accommodation, catered meals, and experience IMCs collaborative culture as if youre already a full-time employee. YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enhance your knowledge of FPGAs by working with the latest technology and writing fluent code
  • Take part in regular pair programming and peer reviews
  • Be an integral part of your team by helping to identify, implement and validate changes to IMCs hardware
  • Attend workshops, trainings, and other fun social activities alongside the full internship cohort

 

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES 

  • In your penultimate year of study in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering degree or a related field, graduating in 2028
  • Familiarity with a hardware descriptive language (VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog). Additionally, proficiency in a software programming language would be advantageous (C++ or Python preferred)
  • You thrive working in an environment where creativity, teamwork, and innovation are recognised and rewarded
  • You want to make an impact on meaningful and challenging projects
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a desire to solve complicated problems programmatically
  • Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)
  • The length of the internship is variable from 3-months up to 6-months between April and September 2027
