Role Overview:

The Trading Venue Operations function is the first line of support for our brokers and traders, the role is essential to keep the business moving due to the ever growing requirement for technology integration in our broking business. The role encompass a wide range of activities and engagement with stakeholders across multiple departments as well as our front office staff.

Role Responsibilities:

Market Support

  • Broker support 

  • Trade issue investigation 

  • Trading application support and investigation 

Market Control

  • Instrument/curve creation and configuration 

  • Client/account onboarding and maintenance 

  • Trading and settlement holiday amendments

  • Maintain client credit matrix for selected products  

Client Services

  • Deployment of ICAPs trading platforms, either by internet or Java webstart 

  • Technical support 

  • STP and API support 

  • Liaise with 3rd parties such as ION, Markit, Traiana, ICE, Reuters 

Experience / Competences:

Essential

  • High technical competency

  • Strong client-facing skills

  • Service-oriented with a good understanding of trade flows

  • Experience in a support role from a market or technical perspective

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong team player with a high level of commitment

  • Takes ownership of issues through to resolution

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Honest and trustworthy, with an open communication style

  • Motivated and highly organised

  • Ability to provide guidance and support to others

  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours when required to meet business needs

  • Equities knowledge

  • Knowledge of Exchange Traded/Matched Principal cash equities and Exchange Traded/Name Give Up derivative products
