The role holder is responsible for supporting the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) for ASP and MENAT (AME) Head of Data Management on data governance and control execution for in collaboration with the global CIB team. The Data Management Analyst will support delivery of data storage and retention, data lineage, data privacy, and data quality requirements for CIB in AME. The role is expected to support implementation and compliance with the global Data Policy, providing guidance, and contributing to continual implementation improvements of data control roll-out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pillar leads to deliver group data strategy targets for CIB in AME
  • Support delivery plans, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and implementation trackers for CIB data controls
  • Support CIB governance forums and provide status updates to key stakeholders to ensure awareness of project progress
  • Provide SME guidance to CIB stakeholders to support the adherence to Data control policy and best practices
  • Support the Head of CIB AME Data Management on implementing the Data strategy
  • Leverage advanced tooling to identify opportunities for automation and simplification of data management practices
  • Supports the sharing of best practices globally, in terms of technical approaches, data governance, stakeholder management, and general project management and documentation
  • Looks externally via wider personal network and own research to identify, understand and translate for CIB key emerging trends in data management practice across financial services, FinTech(s) and other sectors
  • Collaborate with the CIB CDAO teams globally to support the creation of sustainable technology led solutions that drive effective decision making across the CIB business

Technical Competency

  • Experience supporting cross-functional delivery in data management, or technology risk/compliance (program/project/PMO-style experience is relevant)
  • Knowledge, experience in handling data, data sets along with familiarity with data tools
  • Past background into BI / Reporting / Visualization / business analytics
  • Exposure to programming languages like Python, R or data tools like Qliksense/QlikView ideal

Soft Skills Competency

  • Interpersonal skills with developed capacity to constructively challenge and influence stakeholders
  • Strong communication, and presentation ability
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail
  • Ability to spot and execute improvement opportunities

Requirements

Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher
