We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP - DAAI.

Principal responsibilities

  • Product Ownership & Roadmap: Manage and maintain product roadmaps for global data and AI products, ensuring alignment with IWPB AI Strategy and prioritized business outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison across business stakeholders and global outcome leads to gather needs, manage expectations, and coordinate delivery priorities.
  • Compliance-by-Design Delivery: Work with technical teams and 2LoD partners to ensure products are delivered in a compliant manner, with appropriate governance and controls embedded throughout the lifecycle.
  • Responsible AI Alignment: Ensure AI solutions are developed and operated in line with HSBC Responsible AI principles, supporting appropriate oversight, documentation, and risk considerations.
  • User Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Collect, structure, and coordinate user feedback, translating it into actionable enhancements to improve product usability, reliability, and value.
  • Innovation & Use Case Shaping: Identify and bring forward innovative AI solutions/products that are feasible and deliverable, shaping ideas into clear proposals that can progress through delivery.
  • Agentic AI Delivery Support: Coordinate delivery of at least one Agentic AI initiative by working across business, technical, and governance stakeholders to support safe implementation.
  • Governance Communication: Provide clear updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions required to local and global stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely escalation where needed.
  • AI SME Support: Provide technical advice and guidance to business and technical teams on AI solution options, trade-offs, and compliant delivery approaches.

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelors degree or above in Data Science, Financial Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in relevant roles (product management and/or data/AI delivery environments).
  • Strong experience in product management (roadmaps, requirements, prioritization, stakeholder alignment).
  • Hands-on experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions
  • Solid knowledge of cloud computing concepts and delivery considerations.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and practical application.
  • Experience with data and AI governance, including working with control functions and operating within regulated environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across business, technology, and control functions.
  • Fluent English communication.

Preferred:

  • Machine Learning Model life-cycle management
  • Experience delivering Agentic AI use cases.
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices (deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management).
  • Strong understanding of AI governance and data governance frameworks.
  • Cantonese language capability.
