The opportunity: Vice President Global Corporates Coverage

Being part of HSBC in Sweden, youll help evolve and grow our business.

What you will do:

The role holder will have the freedom to support the expansion of the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) franchise in Nordics by proposing and pursuing new initiatives under the guidance of the Senior Relationship Manager and the country leadership team.

In this role you will:

Deliver an outstanding client experience to our customers through a client-centric approach by taking ownership, navigating HSBC, being proactive and responsive.
Build longstanding, personal and trusted relationships with existing/new clients and develop a profound strategic- and flow business dialogue.
Be a credible and a high-profile ambassador for HSBC Nordics with our clients and third party stakeholders and by further growing the bank in the Nordic Large Corporate market by attending external business events, seminars and prospects.
Work collaboratively with product partners and colleagues to execute tailored client plan strategies, increase share of wallet and capture cross border opportunities. Showcase good risk-reward judgement origination of new business and optimize overall relationship returns.
Ensure integrity and fairness in all aspect of work, including sales process/customer treatment, and demonstrate role model behaviour with respect to open feedback culture, inclusiveness/diversity, team engagement, and HSBCs core values.
Coach, inspire and motivate junior colleagues and proactively share knowledge, experience and best practices, taking a genuine interest in their progression.
Provide high quality credit risk proposals showing thorough understanding of your clients and the industries in which they operate, and build a trusted working relationship with Risk, including the timely identification of potential credit issues and periodic credit monitoring.
Deliver and negotiate credit facility documentation with clients.
Ensure high standards of operational quality, and take first line of defence responsibility with respect to the management of credit, operational, reputational, compliance and regulatory risks.
Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information, including KYC requirements, and ensure internal systems are accurately updated, whilst protecting sensitive customer data.

A degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Accounting, etc) or a similar qualification

You have excellent financial- and business analysis skills
You have proven ability in managing complex credit risk processes and a vast experience in negotiating comprehensive credit documentation (syndicated and bilateral).
Excellent interpersonal skills with a particular emphasis on inspiring people and interacting with customers and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal/in writing) as well as the ability to deliver compelling presentations
A strong network in the Nordic Large Corporate market or an ability to quickly develop one from a proven track record in another market as well as sector knowledge
Speaking and writing well in English is mandatory, speaking and writing Swedish is critical, the knowledge of an alternative Nordic language is an advantage.
