Short Description: Keep complex deals moving as a trusted partner for lenders, borrowers and investors

About the business area

Corporate and Institutional Banking helps some of the worlds largest companies grow and succeed by offering investment and financial solutions. Working across markets, sectors and borders, youll help deliver the insight, connectivity and support that enable clients to navigate change and unlock new opportunities

Our Issuer Services teams support and enhance the corporate strategies of leading global companies, financial institutions and capital market investors, providing tailored corporate trust and loan agency solutions.

Who you are

Youre someone who communicates well, builds relationships naturally and takes pride in doing things properly. You dont need to know everything about banking yet bring your curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn, and well help with the rest. You could be a great fit if you enjoy working with different people, adapting your communication style and staying organised when handling detail-heavy work. You take ownership, think ahead and care about delivering to a high standard. Youre also trustworthy and understand why confidentiality and integrity matter, especially when information is sensitive. If you want to learn in a client-focused environment where precision, professionalism and collaboration all matter, this could be a strong fit.

What you'll do

Youll join an Issuer Services team focused on either business development or client services, helping support clients through complex transactions. You could contribute to market and deal research, help prepare presentations and client materials, support logistics, admin or marketing activity, and join meetings or events to see how long-term client relationships are managed. Youll work with colleagues across Product, Marketing, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, and may also interact with external stakeholders such as investment banks, corporates, issuers, lenders and law firms. Its varied work that gives you a practical view of how teams collaborate to deliver strong service in a detailed, high-stakes environment. The internship also includes structured assessments aligned to securing a graduate role, giving you chances to demonstrate how you think, collaborate and deliver, through tasks such as project work, presentations, interviews or skills-based evaluations.

What you'll learn

Youll build your understanding of Issuer Services through a mix of structured learning and practical exposure from day one. Your first week includes technical and behavioural training designed to help you settle in quickly and build confidence early. As the internship progresses, youll deepen your understanding of how different teams work together across Product, Marketing, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, and how external stakeholders shape complex transactions. Youll also learn why integrity, discretion and accuracy matter so much in sensitive, high-stakes environments. By the end of the internship, youll have a clearer understanding of how this specialist area supports clients and marketsand stronger professional skills to build on.

Where you'll work

Youll work in Issuer Services within Corporate and Institutional Banking, joining a team focused on either business development or client services. Its a collaborative environment where colleagues work closely with Product, Legal, Compliance and external stakeholders in complex transaction settings. Youll be part of a professional office culture that values discretion, organisation and strong teamwork. Expect a setting where relationship management and specialist support come together in a highly connected, international business.
