What youll do

 

Youll help clients unlock opportunities across global markets using our working capital and trade finance solutions. From big-picture deals to the small details that make them work, youll be part of it all.

Heres a taste of what youll get involved in:

  • Gaining a deep understand the world of Global Trade Solutions trade cycles, payment options, products, documentation, and risks.
  • Working with HSBC colleagues worldwide, sharing insights and learning from their expertise.
  • Seeing deals through from start to finish from structuring the team to execution.
  • Using tools to identify and manage risks, from operational to reputational.
  • Preparing Letters of Credit and accurate reporting to keep deals on track.
  • Analysing data, supporting pitches, and contributing to client materials.
  • Making recommendations that balance risk with opportunity.
  • Performing checks like sanctions screenings and anti-money laundering (AML).
  • Maintaining records and tracking trade volumes, payments, and currency movements.

 

 

What youll learn

 

Well support you with all the training and development you need to succeed. Your journey will typically begin with our Global Graduate Induction, where youll train alongside your graduate peers. The induction provides you with an overview of HSBC, as well as an opportunity to build a global network of graduates and business colleagues, which will prove invaluable as your HSBC career unfolds. Once youve completed the Global Graduate Induction, youll take part in a global tailored training programme to build both the technical understanding and professional capability required for your role. Youll develop all the skills and experience you need to feel confident in transaction banking and grow into a trusted partner for our clients.

 

Heres whats in store:

  • On-the-ground experience work across teams like Sales and Product to see every side of Global Trade Solutions.
  • Expert-led training two weeks of structured sessions to sharpen your skills.
  • Professional qualifications support through relevant exams and certifications.
  • Stakeholder management learn to engage with colleagues and clients across countries and cultures.
  • Integrity and compliance develop a strong understanding of AML, sanctions, and trade law requirements.

 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be available to work full time from July 2027 onwards 
  • Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent, as shown on your official university transcript/degree certificate)
  • Be a recent graduate with less than 2 years of full-time job experience, or will you have graduated by July 2027
