In this role, you will:

The role is a key contributor in achieving the proposition objectives and main existing portfolio, and it will take responsibility not only in the area of premier customer acquisition but also in the business growth and portfolio maintenance of small business banking.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a focal point between frontline and OPS to submit mortgage application and drawdown requests.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for mortgage documentation quality control through screening the mortgage application packages before submission for approval.
  • Contribute to the improvement of mortgage sales quality, streamlined mortgage process and cost effectiveness of mortgage business.
  • Track and monitor the application and drawdown process of each case.
  • Drive mortgage business growth by achieving needs fulfilled minimum standard and upholding document quality standard.
  • Monitor the progress of each pending case to ensure the achievement of monthly "needs fulfilled" minimum standards.
  • Proactively communicate with the Frontline and UWS/SD teams to ensure mortgage document quality and service excellence.
  • Stay alert to internal and external mortgage policies and market movements.
  • Contribute to IWPB and other related business services, such as account opening, mortgage after-sales services, and WEM sales referrals.
  • Support the Mortgage Sales team in collecting necessary documents and preparing proposals for new EBF projects.
  • Assist the Manager in managing and monitoring mortgage acquisition channel development, EBF utilization, the new acquisition pipeline, daily team activities, and the achievement of mortgage sales targets.
  • Support the Mortgage Sales team in arranging sales activities.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Knowledge & Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

At least six months of experience in HSBC WPB roles.

Strong communication, client-focused, and influencing skills.

Sound knowledge of HSBC products and services, with a specific emphasis on digital channels.

High potential to transition into a sales role within six months.

Results-driven with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Comprehensive understanding of local regulatory and licensing requirements.

Clear understanding of how to collaborate with Compliance, Credit & Risk, and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment.

Proficiency in English and local languages.

In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, credit policies, regulatory policies, and business systems.

Ability to establish and maintain a smooth communication and interaction platform between Operations (OPS) and the Frontline.

Commitment to supporting the monitoring of HML performance and processes.

Accountability for maintaining expert knowledge of HML products, credit policies, and business systems to ensure operational excellence.

2. Accreditations

Attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications as required by the local market.
