Business Descriptor:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the HSBC Asset Management India team.

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but not limited to supporting

  • Risk Advisory, risk governance and helping management in key risk-based decision making.
  • Effective senior stakeholder engagement across the business lines, departments, including 2LOD Stewards and Audit.
  • Assisting and advising in key transformation programmes.
  • Design review of products, business proposals and other client and business initiatives and to help set up suitable operational framework for de-risked delivery.
  • Pro-active, insightful and robust risk identification, review and challenge based on internal and external insights.
  • Striving for continuous improvement and standardization of our processes, becoming an advocate for the adoption of Non-Financial Risk framework
  • Ensure that our processes are fair to clients and can deliver consistent client outcomes.
  • Assist Head HSBC AMC BRR in seamless embedding of key attributes of NFR Framework which includes but not limited to promoting ownership, understanding and forward-looking view of key risks, no surprise culture and sound risk-based decision making for sustainable growth.
  • Drive and maintain high standards of risk governance within first line and identify key gaps in the, navigate complex metric environment to agree actions to close the gap, help AMIN BRR to de-risk, raise dispensation or risk accept etc.
  • Build continuous assurance on key vectors of risks and remain SME on Business process outcomes, Group policies on those process and lead and support on key deliverables of framework like RCAs, KRIs, CMAs etc.
  • AMIN has been through one of the most complex business integrations and the incumbent is expected to be in middle of all the activities, deliveries, have 360-degree view and have an extra ordinary ability to deal with people, many a time who are new to HSBC on risk proposition.

Role requirements / Educational Qualifications / Certification / Experience:

  • Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher (Mandatory)
  • 13 years

Eligibility Criteria

  • India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion.
  • Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted
  • INM Employees in scope of WPB Career Progression Framework not eligible to apply to roles within the purview of the Framework.

Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.
