Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Product Manager
Role Profile
This Product role is a client facing role and is responsible to manage Custody Product commercial book & pricing, build/manage client relationships & change requests, work with Sales team on new business and define product strategy & roadmap, with key focus on digital asset custody.
In this role you will:
Custody Commercial Product
- Contribute towards the definition and measurement of Objectives and Key Results and client benefits which drives the Digital Assets Custody vision and strategy on the basis of 4 key principles, e.g. growth, innovation, scalability and digitization.
- Work with the team, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and direction of the product.
- Understand custody commercial models, finance reporting and define product pricing
Client Engagement
- Represent Custody Product and work together with client facing teams on product engagement and presentation with clients
- Work on RFP and due diligence for new business and existing business protection
- Drive on strategic initiatives to enhance product offering/client experience, improve revenue, optimise operational efficiency and mitigate risks
- Regular engagement with Product partners in collating the output of client benefits
Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements. This includes as well internal Group Standards Manual, relevant Functional Instruction Manuals and Business Instruction Manuals.
- Minimize operational, reputational and financial risk, as appropriate through close cooperation with Operations, Compliance, Legal, Network Management, Procurement and Risk.
- Ensure that products attain satisfactory, or higher, internal and external audit ratings
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Regular engagement with legal, risk and compliance in order to ensure that products fulfil legal and regulatory requirements and meet HSBCs risk appetite.
- Close coordination with Technology and Operations to ensure robust frameworks are in place that support the successful implementation of the value stream framework.
To be successful you will need:
- Understanding of custody and securities services as well as exposure to digital assets, innovation and technology relevant to the securities service business.
- Strategic mind-set, with strong conceptual, creative and analytical content
- Experience in client engagement, product management, product governance and risk management.
- Proven track record in managing change and implementing product controls, actively managing multiple stakeholders.
- Diligent in documenting and publishing updates, writing product documentations and thought leadership papers as well as engaging with key stakeholders to follow up on necessary actions
- Result oriented, able to drive think client and think P&L approach within defined risk parameters.
- Able to manage a complex and multi-disciplinary global environment (building bridges).
- Strong leadership qualities of decision making, authority and people motivator. Good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work in pressurised environment and manage priorities effectively and be a good team player at the same time.
