Wholesale Chief Operating Officer Senior Business Management Manager

Hang Sengs Commercial Banking (CMB) business provide customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.

For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Business Management Manager.

Principal responsibilities

• Drive the operational excellence agenda, partnering with Operations and stakeholders to improve cost efficiency, streamline end-to-end processes, prioritize business demands, and accelerate delivery.
• Lead headcount planning, workforce optimization and organizational design, using productivity insights to optimize resourcing and enable colleagues to perform at their best.
• Monitor and manage Commercial Banking cost spend (direct and indirect), ensuring strong and sustained cost discipline.
• Partner with Human Resources to deliver the people agenda, including talent and performance management, leadership and graduate trainee development, and employee value proposition initiatives.
• Lead customer events and employee engagement activities to enhance customer loyalty, staff engagement and organizational culture.
• Support office optimization initiatives and implementation to align the workplace with the latest ways of working and build stronger team collaboration.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Management, Banking, Finance or a related discipline
• Experience in banking industry with good understanding of commercial banking business, strong attentiveness to detail, with ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong project management, stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Sound communication, interpersonal and organization skills
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
