Relationship Manager - Corporate and Institutional Banking

We are currently looking for an ambitious professional who can join our Corporate Banking team as a Relationship Manager in Dubai. This role will acquire, maintain, and grow profitable long-term relationships with UAE-based corporate clients across sectors. The main responsibilities include acting as primary point of contact for clients externally and clients internally for flow transactional elements with the client base, as well as working closely with relationship and product teams across the world. This role supports the senior staff within sector/country to deepen client relationships and improve income generation through focused business development activities.


In this Role, you will:

Act as primary point of contact for corporate clients offering value-added advice and guidance and placing their needs at the forefront of all that we do, setting world class standards and developing strong connectivity
Grow sustainable revenues from existing relationships and through targeted acquisition of quality new customers against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment
Proactively develop effective strategies to manage relationships, both existing and new, by anticipating customer needs and providing superior quality services
Understanding of cash management, trade and FX solutions and how to originate them
Keep up-to-date on knowledge of HSBCs international and domestic strategy, capabilities and policies as well as external factors influencing international and domestic business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements
Generate quality assets through the use of appropriate risk management tools, price appropriately for risk
Ensure that active risk management is practised across the whole portfolio and ensure early identification of problem relationships taking proper action on potential and existing problem accounts to protect HSBC interests
Take a proactive approach to client planning collaborating effectively with products partners and colleagues to assess customers international and domestic needs and delivering appropriate solutions.
Work as an integrated member of the Corporate team leading, inspiring and motivating junior colleagues to ensure a seamless relationship management service is delivered to all customers and proactively share knowledge, experiences and best practices with ARMs.
Build a network of business introducers in the local professional and business community
Be an ambassador for HSBC and develop the banks profile in the local business community

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Relevant experience working in a relationship management role in corporate banking environment
Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through a broad range of products and services
Proven analytical ability, with experience of credit management and financial statements analysis
Proven level of business acumen and commercial awareness including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of international trade products and services
Excellent planning and organisational skills with experience of working under pressure and ability to prioritise workload effectively
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Arabic speaker is highly desirable.
A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE).
Under the New Labour Law, only fixed term contracts shall be available to all employees of HSBC UAE (except DIFC and ADGM employees) hence in line with the term of work permit, a 4 years contract would be issued.
