Mobile Sales Specialist Role Profile

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver against agreed sales and activity targets across new lending, new credit cards, credit limit increases, general insurance, and credit enhancement products
  • Engage customers (in person, by phone, and digitally) to identify needs, present suitable solutions, and progress applications through to completion
  • Build strong customer relationships through confident, needs-based conversationsrecommending and, where appropriate, refer a range of HSBC products and services aligned to customer eligibility and circumstances
  • Promote and support digital banking adoption, helping customers choose convenient self-service options while maintaining a high-quality experience
  • Take end-to-end ownership of customer outcomes, including resolving issues and complaints promptly and effectively, aiming for first-contact resolution where possible
  • Ensure sales are completed with strong risk discipline: provide clear, accurate product information, maintain high file and data quality, and deliver right first time, on time
  • Follow all applicable HSBC policies and procedures, including requirements relating to financial crime, risk and compliance, and non-financial risk
  • Maintain required role accreditations in line with the IWPB (International Wealth and Premier Banking) Accreditation Framework and contribute to a high-performing team culture

Minimum Qualifications

Essential

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years experience in banking (or equivalent customer-facing sales experience in financial services)
  • Proven ability to work to sales targets and deliver strong customer outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills; able to handle objections professionally and move customers confidently through a decision
  • Strong customer service mindset with evidence of effective issue resolution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues to achieve shared goals

Preferred

  • Associate Degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience in consumer lending, credit cards, and/or general insurance sales
  • Demonstrated digital sales or digital adoption coaching experience
