The role holder will be part of the Equities business franchise under Market Securities Services Operations (MSSO) umbrella. The business covers products in the Equity Derivative (EQD) and Prime Finance areas. Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.

The team covers Cash Equity, Equity Derivatives and Securities Financing. Securities Financing encompasses Prime Finance, Delta One trading, Stock borrowing and Lending, and Collateral Treasury trading.

The role will cover Hong Kong and European facilitated activities under HK/ London/ Paris balance sheets.

Your main contacts will be trade desks and middle office teams. There will also be interaction with external clients.

The role will be working on Hong Kong shift with a possibility for staggered work hours.

This middle office desk support (MODS) role does not have any direct reports

What youll do:

  • Oversee Trade Bookings exceptions, verification, and control monitoring of exception trade flow.
  • Manage Prime Client trade matching daily activity (block and allocations). In this role there are Interactions with clients and desks to resolve T0 and T+1 breaks.
  • Handle SBL return bookings and exceptions.
  • Trade lifecycle management including corporate action processing, fixings, coupon calculations, trigger monitoring, break clause and expiry monitoring.
  • Liaison with our settlement teams regarding unsettled Cash Flows, outstanding Trades and reconciliation issues.
  • Work closely with extended team based in Manila, Paris, New York, London and Hong Kong.
  • Drive to improve operational robustness and risk reduction.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Demostrate good understanding of the Equity business and products.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk.
  • Experience of working in a trade support role covering equity or debt securities is desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant experience of dealing with Front Office stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Trade lifecycle events including corporate actions events would be beneficial.
  • Pro active, confident and self-motivated with the ability to problem solve and work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
