Manager Finance Operations

Role purpose

US Fed Regulatory Reporting is responsible for preparation and submission of Regulatory Reports such as Call Report, FRY 9C, FFIEC 009, FRY 11, FRY 9LP, TIC Reports and CCAR ( 14Q/14M) etc., for submission to Federal Reserve Bank, FDIC and OCC etc. It also involves quarter over quarter analysis of the reports and providing commentary for the senior management.

Main activities

Risk Principal Accountabilities / Customers / Stakeholders

  • Preparation and Present templates for daily, monthly and quarterly submissions to the US stakeholders.
  • Timely submission of monthly and quarterly returns to the Regulators
  • Timely preparation of other analysis requested by internal customers
  • Responsible for updating Finance FIM annually.
  • Ensure participation in various learning initiatives to constantly upgrade their skill set.
  • Engages with colleagues across business lines, functions and regions; tracks risks and issues
  • Collaborates with stakeholders, building strong relationships to ensure consensus
  • Responsive to management and peer queries
  • Provides timely reports on consolidation and interaction status, risks and issues

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Run processes in an auditable and transparent manner. Explain processes to Internal Audit and to regulators, and address issues where identified
  • Compliant with SoX, if applicable.
  • Document all processes clearly
  • Proactive approach to process improvement
  • Production of contributions to support regulatory and compliance.

Requirements

  • A qualified professional (preferably accountant, CPAor MBA or CFA) with overall post qualification experience of 5+ years.
  • Knowledge of USGAAP accounting and consolidation issues;
  • Sound knowledge of the Financial/Banking Services industry, products and systems.
  • Flexibility, tenacity and the ability to maintain enthusiasm on long running or complex process re-design initiatives.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working as part of a team.
  • Very strong MS Office skills. (ability to use macros, arrays and other advanced excel formulas)
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work under pressure, report under tight deadlines and deal effectively with issues as they arise.
