We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Investment Analytics & AI Enablement Specialist.

In this role you will:

  • BAU platform support & service stability (Analytics + AURA): Provide high-touch front-office support in HK/APAC; diagnose issues, respond to queries, and communicate through to closure. Drive service continuity by identifying recurring issues and root-cause fixes with product/technology teams.
  • Front-office enablement (HK/Asia): Enable Portfolio Managers and the Investment team to use HSBC Analytics and AURA across asset classes through onboarding, user clinics, training materials, best-practice guidance and office-hours support. Promote self-service and consistent adoption.
  • Triage, prioritisation & escalation management: Own local intake and triage across incidents, requests and enhancements; assess impact, prioritise work, determine escalation paths, coordinate resolution across product/engineering/technology teams.
  • AURA go-live readiness & stabilisation: Lead support readiness for AURA production rollout (onboarding, comms, training inputs, runbooks, hypercare) and support early-life stabilisation.
  • Scale the support operating model: Build a scalable support model (access, documentation, troubleshooting, FAQs/knowledge base) and drive self-service and standard ways of working.
  • Adoption, engagement & service insight (local presence): Drive APAC adoption via local engagement (incl. in-person), user clinics and enablement; monitor usage/value; provide service health insights aligned to controls and safe use.
  • Ad-hoc analytical tools & rapid enhancements: Partner with Portfolio Managers to scope and deliver ad-hoc analytical tools and rapid prototypes (e.g., Excel/VBA/Python) for time-sensitive needs and translate recurring requirements into scalable platform enhancements with product and engineering teams. Ensure documentation, handover and supportability.

To be successful you will need:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly numerate and organised. Good attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of techniques in portfolio management and performance attribution. A good understanding of financial markets and financial instruments.
  • A good understanding of risk sensitivities, modern portfolio theory and security analysis.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with flexibility to accommodate a changing environment and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.
  • A good academic record: preferably with specialisation in finance or from an analytics background in a portfolio analytics, performance, or investment risk systems support role.
  • Practical experience working with risk or other analytical systems and with a working knowledge of performance attribution.
  • Ability to translate investment user needs into platform requirements and enablement materials (training, playbooks, FAQs), driving adoption without owning ongoing portfolio analysis production.
  • Knowledge of programming within VBA, Python, R or similar. Confident with MS Excel.
