The opportunity: Institutional Sales Nordics

Being part of HSBC in Sweden, youll help evolve and grow our business.


Are you an institutional sales professional with a strong commercial mindset? Do you have a track record of building senior client relationships across the Nordics? Do you enjoy shaping distribution strategy and winning business across both traditional and alternative investments?


What you will do:
You will be responsible for developing and expanding commercially profitable client relationships across the Nordics Institutional segment. Accountable for delivering the Nordics Sales & Distribution strategy (Pensions & Insurance) to drive revenue growth across traditional and alternative asset classes, while ensuring high-quality client service and strong collaboration across Asset Management and HSBC Commercial and Institutional Banking.


In this role you will:
Build and grow HSBC Asset Managements institutional client footprint across the Nordics, strengthening external brand perception through consistent market engagement
Deliver against agreed sales, revenue growth, client acquisition and retention objectives across the institutional segment
Drive disciplined sales management including pipeline development, account planning, CRM hygiene and performance tracking
Partner closely with investment, marketing, operations and product colleagues to bring relevant solutions to clients and execute global themes/campaigns locally
Collaborate with specialist teams (e.g., Liquidity, Alternatives, ETFs) to deliver holistic, client-led solutions
Operate to the highest standards of risk management, Treating Customers Fairly, regulatory compliance, FCC (Financial Crime Compliance) and HSBC Global Standards

Strong understanding of institutional investor needs in the Nordics (pensions, insurance and related segments) and how to translate these into investment solutions
Proven capability to sell across alternative investments, with particular strength in alternative credit
Demonstrable strength in senior stakeholder management, influencing and presenting with credibility (gravitas)
A commercial, results-driven approach with disciplined sales execution (pipeline management, account planning, CRM rigour)
Sound judgement and decision-making based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
A collaborative, change-positive mindset that supports innovation, client centricity and agile ways of working
