Full Job Description
Role purpose:
To perform relevant product activities in line with customer needs for International Payments product strategy within the Cross Border and Cross Currency stream. This role is responsible to lead all Cross border payments products from an end-to-end perspective ensuring that business goals are met as a key player to sustain the firm competitiveness in the payments financial sector and taking advantage of HSBC current footprint.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Follow up on market trends and develop strategies that are consistent to assist in generating higher revenues for HSBC for international payments products.
- Be a key driver in effective relationship with risk, regulatory bodies, line of business, operations and technical teams. The job applicant needs to prove management of multiple teams to achieve a targets including project and strategy implementation.
- The incumbent will work closely with the regional and global product managers to execute and commercialize product strategy in accordance with global intelligence. Proficient language skills are required in both Spanish and English.
- Responsible to lead the Ctb portfolio in order to implement high value functionalities that can launch a substantial benefit for our customers as well as mandatory and industry requirements related initiatives. Job applicant will be able to prioritize customers needs; regulatory and mandatory requirements; and future state of product within the same portfolio to maximize product benefits.
- Responsible to interact with Operational processes to ensure top efficiency, enhancements, minimizing risks and costs.
- Create Business Case and Product Development and value propositions that are compelling and commercially viable to justify strategic initiatives and secure approvals.
- Effective stakeholder management across a broad array of internal and external constituencies (e.g. customers, regulators, competitors, vendors, alliance partners, IT, Operations, Compliance, Tax, Legal, Finance etc) is central to the role. Given the complexity of the business, the marketplace, and the HSBC Group including client segments, stakeholder management and effective leadership is essential to the role and will often present new challenges to the job holder.
- As product owner the incumbent will be responsible for compliance of relevant internal policies as well as regulatory compliance and market standards as well as minding risk and control environments with the utmost relevance.
- The role requires effective follow up of product governance including data analysis and communication of relevant product items.
- Additional interaction with customer facing teams is required to ensure customer support standards are met.

Functional Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Financial- Economic
- Minimum experience of 5-7 years in payments products, financial products and services, corporate finance. Experience in Cross Border Payments products is required.
Others
Advanced English, Proactive, Strategic Thinking and analyitic, Proficient communication, use of AI tools. Proficient in MS Office tools.
